The Original Apis Logo.
The original logo for Apis software was an orange hexagon which was suppose to be a honeycomb shape but just looked like the head of a bolt. It would have made a great mechanic logo but the bee reference was lost. They had used the bee reference before in marketing material and there some market recognition, so keeping it was a benefit. There were also different explanations about the name it was an acronym for something and they related there suite of products to the eco system of bees (Apis is Latin for Bees). The worker bees would go out and retrieve the data and bring it back the Historian Data Base called the Honey Store. This was all good they just needed an good identifiable logo to tie them all together.
